O U T F I T D E T A I L S
Hey guys! Happy Monday, I hope you all had a great weekend (or are having a great weekend for those of you with today off). We’re still nursing a sick-ish toddler back to health over here so these past few days have been…interesting, ha! Man, before having a baby, three-day weekends used to be a whole lot less work. LOL.
Anyway…as I mentioned last week, I thought I’d take the Monday blog posts to share a little about myself and my life to help you get to know me a little better. Thanks so much for reading and following <3
Monday Meet Up #2:
- I’m 5’1″ (a shorty!) so my focus is styling looks for a petite frame, but I think the outfits I put together are classic enough to look good on any body type! Meaning, if you’re fortunate enough to have some more height to you, you’ll probably have a better chance of finding a pair of pants that don’t need to be hemmed or cuffed. 🙂
- I attended the University of Scranton and majored in Finance and Philosophy in college. I currently work in Marketing in NYC. And yes, despite the craziness of the city, I honestly still love it just as much as when I first moved out here 12 years ago.
- My all-time favorite movie is You’ve Got Mail. I absolutely love Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks in it, and it was my inspiration for living on the Upper West Side a few years back. In fact one time I put together my own little You’ve Got Mail on-location tour and made AJ spend a Saturday afternoon taking my picture in front of various filming locations. He loved that.
This outfit has been a go-to look of mine this winter. This sweater was a Black Friday impulse purchase and is super soft and cozy. I’m just loving winter white sweaters this season.
I decided to buy these pants from Loft earlier this fall and I love the pop of fun they bring to my wardrobe. You can also pair these with a black or tan sweater and booties. They are currently on sale for $20 + FREE SHIPPING! (If you buy from Loft a lot like I do, you’ll know how rare that is.) SIZE DOWN! These pants have zero stretch so you will want to size down for a snugger fit.
A note about these shoes – I love them, BUT the leather took a while to loosen up. I bought my true size (a 6), but you’ll have to be sure to break them in.
If your office has a casual vibe, this is a great polished look to throw on to rock a day of meetings!
PS – Don’t mind the cute little photo bomber 🙂
